angular frequency

Angular frequency is the frequency of a wave times $2\pi$.

Angular frequency tells you how much angle is covered in raidans per unit time. It is the same as $f\cdot 2\pi$.
While frequqncy often makes more intuitive sense, angular frequency is often used when dealing with the maths, as it makes it a bit cleaner.

$$\omega =\sqrt{\frac{k}{m}}$$

$k$… spring constant (strength of the spring)
$m$… mass of the object
Increasing $k$ results in a faster oscilation.
Increasing $m$ results in a slower oscilation (more inertia).
