The appearance that future states cause present actions.
Forward causation: A boulder rolls downhill. Causes are uphill, in the past; effects downhill, in the future.
A cat leaps toward where the mouse will be: the future-mouse-position seems to do causal work.
The effect (catching the mouse) precedes cause (the leap)? Time-reversal?
The agent holds a model of the future in the present, and that prediction generates the present action.
With such a model, predictions become causes once you act on them.
The causal structure shapes the model, the model shapes the causal structure.
