Something is real to the degree that it is implemented.

A weather-simulation is not real in a sense as it is implemented at a certain level of causal structure, which at a certain degree of resolution / from a certain perspective gives you isomorphy, some kind of projection that allows you to predict the weather to a certain point up to a certain resolution, but beyond that it falls apart, because the underlying causal sttructure is different.
